The festival's fashion curator Claire Stuart hosted last night's superb talk & screening where we found out about Alex's recent work and collaborations.

The
Alex Mattsson Autumn/Winter 2013 collection is inspired in part by
Californian Hispanic motorcycle club 'The Mongols' and incorporates
traditional workwear silhouettes - which feel particularly fresh. Alex has teamed up with musician Zebra Katz who's written and recorded a track inspired by the A/W13 collection (featured above).
Filmmaker Grace LaDoja, pictured, shot an accompanying music video showcasing the collection. She confessed at last night's screening that she only had 1 hour's worth of 16mm film stock to cover the whole music shoot in LA.
The result feels like a much subtler way of finding a home for fashion film. Watch the finished video below...
