Oh là là, Monsieur! Bei einem Gig in Paris war Pete Doherty kaum wiederzuerkennen: Der sonst wenig gepflegte Skandalrocker erschien zur Eröffnungsfeier des neuen Joseph-Stores in einem olivegrünen Tweed-Dreiteiler der Firma Harris Tweed mit leuchtend rotem Innenfutter.
So schnieke hat man Pete selten gesehen.

Dazu kombinierte der 30-Jährige weißes Hemd, silberne Krawatte und ein schmuckes Einstecktuch von Chanel. Ob bei der Wahl solcher Edelaccessoires vielleicht seine Ex, Model und Musikerin Irina Lazareanu, ihre Finger im Spiel hatte? Immerhin lief sie schon für Chanel über den Laufsteg - und Karl Lagerfeld hält große Stücke auf sie.
Die Designerin von Dohertys Maßanzug, Marina Maclean, war bislang vor allem für ihre Couture-Brautkleider bekannt. Gemeinsam mit der jungen Glasgower Schneiderin Camille Lorigo hat sie nun aber ein neues Modeprojekt gestartet und freut sich über ihren ersten prominenten Kunden:
"Pete war unser erster Kunde. Wir haben seinen Anzug extra für heute Abend gemacht", verriet die 40-Jährige stolz dem britischen "Telegraph". Wenn auch äußerlich verwandelt, war der Sänger später auf der Bühne dann wieder der alte, rockte eine Stunde lang, was das Zeug hielt.
Sein neues Interesse an der Modewelt soll dennoch keine Eintagsfliege sein: Offenbar plant Pete Doherty eine Zusammenarbeit mit der jungen Schmuckdesignerin Hannah Martin - bereits in wenigen Monaten sollen seine Kreationen bei Joseph erhältlich sein.
